Home base

Good water, good food, good company — all in one cove.

Turtle Cove Resort & Marina sits where Little Sodus Bay opens onto Lake Ontario — calm, protected water for a paddle or a slow morning, with the open lake just past the harbor mouth when you want to run further out.

Whether you’re here to enjoy the lake itself or to explore everything Fair Haven and the surrounding area have to offer, Turtle Cove is a great place to make your home base. Dock steps from your door, grab a seat at the waterfront restaurant, and let the day unfold at its own pace.

A day at the cove

On the water, at the table, by the fire.

There’s no wrong way to spend a day here. This is just how a lot of them seem to go.

01 Morning

Out on the bay

Kayak the cove while the water’s still glass, or take the boat out and run for the lake. Seasonal and overnight dockage sits in a protected harbor, so the boat is waiting right where you left it.

Two fisheries, one dock

Little Sodus Bay for pike, walleye, and bass; Lake Ontario for trophy salmon and trout. Cast from the bay or run out past the harbor mouth — either way, the water is minutes from your door.

Off the water, straight to the table

Fresh haddock, hand-crafted burgers, wings, and a full bar — the waterfront restaurant is built for a day that started on the boat and ends with a cold drink and a view of the cove.

Bonfire, s’mores, and the water going quiet

However you spend the day, it all winds down the same way at Turtle Cove: gather around a bonfire, roast up some s’mores, and let the evening wind out with the water lapping at the shore.

Off season

The bay keeps going after summer.

When Little Sodus Bay freezes over, the shanties come out. Same water, different season.

Beyond the cove

So much to do on the south shore.

Turtle Cove caters to guests of all ages, and plenty of adventures are a short drive from the dock.
